YOUR HOSTS - Edgar and Brenda
Edgar's forefathers settled on the Brudenell River in PEI in the early 1800s. Since 1920 three generations of Dewars lived in the old home in Roseneath just north of Montague. Edgar left for university in 1958 and we visited his parents in PEI each summer as we pursued our engineering and teaching careers in Ontario, Nova Scotia, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia until we retired home in 1995. Roseneath B&B was our main focus there until 2012 when we downsized to this new-to-us property in Montague. We hope you will enjoy the many treasures from our 14 years overseas. (Our sons call our home “the live-in museum”.)
As usual Ed enjoys teaching carpentry, tinkers with antique tractors, and devotes endless hours overseeing construction projects for the local museum. I swim, sing in three choirs and fill the house with people whenever possible. Of course we both muck about in the garden. And though Ed is now 83 and I’m 80, relatives and friends old and new conversing and sharing food together in our home are still a major part of our lives as they have been in all our years together. The years back in Ed’s family home were good; we now enjoy life as we share Montague B&B with guests, friends and relatives. |
