Dewars Pumpkin Waffles
Makes 6 waffles that taste like freshly baked pumpkin muffins. Delicious with warm PEI maple syrup!
1 1/2 c. all-purpose Flour 1.4 c. chopped Walnuts or Pecans 1 Tbsp Cornstarch 1 Tbsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Ginger 1/4 tsp Nutmeg 3/4 c. Pumpkin puree 3 large Egg Yolks 1 c Milk 1/4 c. real Maple Syrup 3 Tbsp Butter, melted 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 3 Egg Whites Preheat waffler maker. In a large bowl, blend flour, nuts, cornstach, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. In a second bowl, stir together pumpkin, egg yolks, milk, maple syrup, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and blend til smooth. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Gently fold egg whites into the batter. Cook according to the directions of your waffle iron. |
Golden Cheese Souffle
Dramatically fluffy with wonderful aroma.
Serves 4. 6 larges EGGS 1/2 c MILK 1 tsp prepared MUSTARD 3.4 c grated CHEDDAR CHEESE 1/8 tsp ONION POWDER 1/8 tsp SALT 1/8 tsp PEPPER Preheat oven to 325F. Beat eggs until smooth. Stir in remaining 6 ingredients. Pour into greased 8'x8' pan. Bake at 325F 25-30 minutes. Serve immediately. Citrus Scrambled Eggs
